The following positions are available:
Waterfront Lifeguards for Camp at the Lake located in West Milford, NJ. Guarding will occur at the waterfront for our 3 acre lake. Transportation to the facility is provided from the Montclair area. Must be a minimum of 16 years of age with current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications. The camp is open June 25 through August 31 and staff are required to work at least 7 of the 10 weeks.
Outdoor Education Specialty Staff for Camp at the Lake located in West Milford, NJ. Transportation to the facility is provided from the Montclair area. Must be 20 years of age and have 3 years previous experience in camping, recreation, teaching, childcare or physical education as an older camper or staff preferred. Must also have knowledge of Archery, Low Ropes/Teambuilding, Fishing, Nature, and Outdoor Living Skills. Certification in Archery and Low Ropes preferred, but will be provided if necessary. Specialty Staff need to be available for two overnight trips over the course of the summer. The camp is open June 25 through August 31 and staff are required to work at least 7 of the 10 weeks.
Sports Coordinator for Camp at the Lake located in West Milford, NJ. Transportation to the facility is provided from the Montclair area. The Sports Coordinator must be 20 years of age and have 3 years previous experience in camping, recreation, teaching, childcare or physical education as an older camper or staff preferred. The Sports Coordinator must also have knowledge of coaching, physical education, and a variety of sports. Certification in coaching or physical education preferred. The camp is open June 25 through August 31 and staff are required to work at least 7 of the 10 weeks.
Counselors, Site Directors & Specialty Directors for Extended Care Programs located in Montclair, Bloomfield, Verona & Cedar Grove. Experience working with Children is required. Lifeguards
Must be a minimum of 15 years of age with current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications. Upon applying for this position, rescues and CPR skills will be reviewed.
Early Bird Lifeguards
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age with current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications. Hours are from 4:30am to 9am. Upon applying for this position rescues and CPR skills will be reviewed.
Swim Instructors
Teach swimming lessons to children in different age groups and levels. Must have experience with children and swimming. Weekday and weekend hours available.
Adult Lesson Instructors
Teach swimming lessons to adults in different age groups and levels. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have experience with adults and swimming. Morning and evening hours available.
