YMCA Adventure Guides programs are for fathers and their children, age 5 & older. This program is about quality time between parent and child. In Adventure Guides, the parent serves as the Guide in a child’s life. Parents form their own small groups called Circles, (usually among classmates, friends, etc.), and run their own monthly activities based on their schedules. “Circles” also participate in larger group activities, called “Expedition” events which include weekend overnights at Frost Valley. Other expedition events may include museum overnights, river rafting, YMCA gym/swim nights, and more, each with a separate program fee.
