- Adult Lap is for ages 18 & over.
- Open Lap is for all ages 10 & older; Open lap swimmers 10-12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
- Shower prior to entering the pool, showers located on the pool deck, and in locker rooms.
- Swimmers must wear a swim cap.
- Bring a towel, towels are not provided.
- Bring deck shoes (typical street shoes are not allowed on the pool deck).
- Locker rooms are available. Showers, sauna, & steam room, are open.
- Lap swim no reservations needed; Water Exercise by reservation (can register 1 week in advance).
- Adult & Senior swim is for members 18 & older.
- Swimmers must wear a swim cap.
- Lane sharing is encouraged please ask permission to share a lane.
- Bring a towel, towels are not provided.

WATER EXERCISE
A moderately intense cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility workout, Aquacise provides a fun and safe routine with minimal impact on the knees and other joints. This workout is good for anyone with injuries or joint problems or anyone who loves the water.
Swimming proficiency is not mandatory, but a general level of comfort in the pool is required. If you are new to class, please see the instructor before class begins so any concerns can be addressed. Come ready to make a splash and have a blast.

Geyer Family Swim is on Sundays only and families must use the Aquatics tile on MotionVibe to register for a spot.
Park Street Family Swim times are listed on the Large and Small Pool Schedules There is no registration requirement.
- Family swim is for all members regardless of age
- All youth 12 & younger must be accompanied by an adult. All swimmers ages 12 & younger must successfully complete the YMCA swim assessment to swim in the deep end.
- Non-swimmers must remain in the shallow end within arms reach of an adult. If child is unable to comfortably stand in the shallow end a coast guard approved lifejacket must be worn (please bring your own).
- Non-coast guard approved flotation devices such as rafts, inflatables, baby seat floats, arm wings, backpacks or monofins (mermaid tail) are not permitted in the pools at any time.
- Swim caps are required for swimmers ages 5 and older.
- Infants/Toddlers who are not potty trained must wear a fitted plastic covering overall disposable swim diapers.
- Bring a towel, towels are not provided.
Swim Assessment (for ages 6-14):
- Swim one length (25 yards) of a recognizable stroke either front crawl (freestyle) or Breaststroke (no human stroke permitted and must comfortably swim with face in).
- Tread Water, 30 seconds (head, chin, and ears must stay out of water)
- Climb out of pool without using ladder or additional assistance
- Jump into deep end (able to jump in feet first and resurface, face must get wet)
Child must successfully complete all skills above and will keep green neckband for return visits to YMCA. The replacement fee for lost or misplaced neckband is $4. Neckbands will not be loaned out to swimmers who forgot to bring theirs.
Swim assessment will only be attempted once per visit and retests occur only 1 time per week.
The decision of the lifeguard is final on daily swim tests.
